Please click the link below to view character descriptions for this play, as well as the approximate number of lines each role has. To audition, please prepare one of the monologues provided at the link; memorization is not required.  Please also fill out the audition form below.

Most roles are flexible and can be gender-swapped, so please feel free to audition for the character that interests you most. Simple name changes can be made as needed, and paired roles (such as husbands and wives) can easily be adjusted to different relationships, such as a mother/daughter, father/son, siblings, or friends.

Please prepare the audition monologue(s) for the character(s) you are interested in. Memorization is not required; however, if reading is challenging for you, we strongly encourage memorizing your monologue so we can better see your character development and how you would play the role.

We can’t wait to see what you bring to auditions! Characterization is key—make bold choices, make it your own, and you’ll do great!

We are very grateful for the opportunity to work with Jenks Community Education for this show. Because this show is offered through Jenks Community Education, once your student auditions and is assigned a role, you will need to enroll through their site as a class. The cost is $30 per month or $90 total. Each enrolled student will receive six free tickets to the show (tickets are $15 each), helping offset the monthly fee while supporting our mission of making theatre accessible to everyone.

These fees support rehearsal and performance space rental, show rights, scripts, and set construction. We remain deeply committed to making theatre available to all families and scholarship opportunities are available if needed. We also continue to offer volunteer opportunities for families to earn free tickets.

Important Information for Participants
At River's Edge Community Theatre, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved in our productions. To ensure this:

  • All adults (ages 18 and older) volunteering with our productions must undergo a background check.

  • For students ages 10 and under, a parent or caregiver is required to remain on campus during rehearsals and performances.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and welcoming space for our community to thrive in the arts!
